Don’t hate me, but I have to say it. Winter is coming which means dry skin, chapped lips, cracked hands, etc. All the things that we hate. However, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite winter beauty products for 2017. These products will help keep your skin hydrated, your lips smooth and your hands crack-free!
1. Gillette Venus Comfortglide
Even though it’s winter and you’re probably not going to be wearing a skirt, you should still keep your legs (and other body parts) hair free! What if you have a spontaneous spa day? Then you’ll thank me. The Gillette Venus Comfortglide contains moisture bars that have been designed to help you shave every edge of your leg, even that annoying knee area! As you shave the razor releases body butters to help keep your skin smooth and bump free!
2. Olay Age Defying Advanced Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
Do anyone else’s eyes get super dry around winter? Around the bottom and the corner of my eyes tend to dry out more during this time of the year. This could easily be due to all the harsh winds we get here in Canada. If you’re like me then you’ll want to try this moisturizer. It includes skin conditioners that boost hydration and lock-in moisture. What I like the most is that it’s lightweight and quickly absorbs into the skin. Apply morning and before bed for best results!
3. Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel
Still got sore eyes? Then you might want to also include the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel to your winter beauty routine. The cooling gel helps to hydrate and plump the skin under your eye. This will help you feel more awake and refreshed. Use in the morning before applying your daily makeup.
4. Lipivir
Not a subject a lot of people like to talk about but it’s the truth. 20-40% of people have regular cold sore breakouts and Lipivir is helping them with their new over-the-counter lip gel. The new product is proven to reduce the frequency of cold sores. Colder weather and winds are triggers for cold sore breakouts so having this product on hand could be helpful!
5. Being by Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub and Lotion
I had never heard of this product before going to the Canadian launch but am now pretty much addicted. New to Canada, they are available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart locations. We talked above about keeping your face moisturized during the winter but we need to do the same for the rest of our body. The body scrub will help to exfoliate your skin for a softer and smoother feel. Use a couple times a week.
Now that you did all that work while in the shower, it’s important to keep the hydration going! Use the body lotion on all dry areas, especially your knees and elbows. Also, these products smell so good, you’ll want to eat them. But, obviously…don’t.

While perfume doesn’t help to keep your skin hydrated it does keep you smelling nice. With a smooth and seductive scent, it’s perfect for over the holidays. Personally, I like to keep a fragrance in my bag as after being out in the cold and all the layers, you can work up more of a sweat than you think!
