The kitchen has to be one of my favourite places in my house. It’s where everyone gathers when they come over, drinks are made and of course, where all the food is. I fell in love with this house because of the brick wall that you see in the photos but what I did not like was all the basic builder items that were still in the home. Since we are the 2nd owners, we never got the chance to pick out any of the finishings.
You can see in my before photos that we had a very simple faucet, and I hated it. Yes, it worked well but I never felt it looked nice in the area. It also gathered so much grim and watermarks around it that I felt like I was constantly cleaning it. So, you can imagine my excitement when Home Depot contacted me to take part in the One Faucet, Many Looks – Huntley Kitchen Faucet Challenge.
Challenge Accepted!
I was sent the American Standard’s unique Huntley Pull-Down faucet to install and was super pumped. (Side note, does this make me old now that I’m 30 and I’m really excited about a new faucet?). I will admit that I did not install the faucet myself but the boyfriend did and I supervised. Overall, it took us an hour to install, which we thought was pretty good considering neither of us had attempted a home project like this before. The Huntley Pull-Down Faucet also comes with the option of installing a soap dispenser. We kept it the box for now and are thinking of installing it once we upgrade the sink.
It’s been a few weeks using the new faucet and I LOVE it. My favourite feature is the Selectflo 5 function spray head. It has made cleaning the sink and rinsing out dishes faster and more convenient.
Be sure to check out the Huntley Pull-Down Faucet here as for only $200, I feel like it made a huge difference for the overall look of my kitchen.
