If you’re a Canadian blogger like myself then you know the trouble we go through trying to take OOTD photos during the colder months. When you get a jacket to style, it’s simple but what about the cute dresses? Or what if you have multiple items to shoot?
When I have multiple items to shoot I always plan out my outfits. I plan out the order I want to shoot them as some I only have to change a top or others just a bottom. I find if you do this you can get through the whole process so much faster. Plus, if you’re layering your different outfits, you’re actually keeping yourself warmer at the same time. I also keep a super warm jacket and mitts with me to put on in between.
Another idea is shooting with a friend. Nicole and I usually head out on weekends to shoot a few items and then warm up at a coffee shop. This also helps us to gain more content at the coffee shop while staying warm.
The last tip is trying to find a location that is covered. This could be a cool underground parking lot or maybe a condo building that has a cool underneath. These types of locations will help to block the wind – which can make all the difference.
