Last weekend, Bijuleni, Ella Pretty Blog and myself hosted the #BCCStylePop party at Bramalea City Centre. I was so happy to have these other 2 amazing and talented bloggers on the stage with me, not only did it make me less nervous but it’s just fun to share these type of experiences with other bloggers!
We had so much fun answering all your questions about blogging and fashion, and I was so happy to hear that some of you were actually thinking of starting your own blog. I remember when I first started and it can be overwhelming but it’s also so much fun.
Before the event, I did some shopping, at Bramalea City Centre (of course) and as mentioned during the style panel I usually like to pick one item of clothing, whether, it’s a shirt, jeans, etc and build off that to create my outfit.
For the Style Pop party, I knew I wanted to wear these Thigh High Boots that I found on sale from Nine West via The Bay. Mostly because it’s getting warmer out so I wanted to make sure I got to chance to wear them at least once. Also, I had been on the hunt for a pair for the longest time, so I was DYING to wear them. You might be thinking, that they weren’t that comfy…but they were!
Since the boots were a focus of the outfit, I opted for a simple pair of grey jeans which I picked up at H&M for $25 (score!). I liked these jeans because of the stretch they had to them, I’m thinking I might go pick them up in a few other colours as well.
Lastly, I picked up an open shoulder shirt at Garage for $20 to finish off the look.
To help me snag all these amazing deal I used BCC new app, which you can download for free for iPhone and Android. By getting the app you become a member of FashioniCITY! It easily tells you what stores are having promotions so you can save some extra money! It also lets you earn gems from certain stores when you shop there. You can then cash in those gems for gift cards to the mall as well as other items!
Styling Thigh High Boots
- Keep them the focus in the outfit
- Pair them with bare legs and a dress or skirt
- When deciding on a colour, opt for a black pair if possible as they will go with a lot more
- Lastly, don’t be afraid the rock the look – step out of that comfort zone
