Shirt: H&M / Skirt: DIY / Scarf: Marshalls / Leggings: eBay / Wedges: Aldo
Over the weekend I went to my local fabric store and went a bit crazy….the main purpose of the trip was to find some brown fabric to make a circle skirt to finish off my Halloween costume to wear this coming weekend…any guesses on what I’m being? I also picked up some awesome winter printed fabrics that I was gushing over, that you probably saw first on Instagram if you follow me. I am planning on making some leggings and infinity scarves with these fabrics and possibly a jacket if I am feeling ballsy.
Now back to the circle skirt! It is such a simple DIY if you know your measurements and measure accurately. I would post a DIY for you but sharing this link to a YouTube video is much better as I used it to help me along the way. If you have never made a piece of clothing, a circle skirt is a great first project to try. As always, if you try any DIYs make sure you email me or tweet me a picture of them!
the setting looks beautiful and your skirt is lovely! It’s soooo much better than one I tried to make once, haha.

You’re so talented at DIY. After sewing class a long time ago in 7th grade, I realized that sewing and DIY is not in my skill set!

I like the mix of the slouchy shirt with the feminine skirt! Great juxtaposition.
