If you follow me on InstaStories, you would have seen the amazing girls weekend I had at The Toronto Grande Hotel with fellow bloggers, Ella Pretty Blog, Sparkle Shiny Love and Bijuleni. I can’t wait to share with you guys what we did and some tips on how to plan the perfect girls weekend.

We started the day off by checking into The Grand Hotel which is located on Jarvis St and settling into our AMAZING room for the night. We got to stay in one of the stunning suites which offer a large kitchenette, dining area, living area, 3 bedrooms upstairs with their own bathrooms and a private balcony. After getting used to our mansion of a room for the night, we went off the explore the beautiful amenities of the hotel. First, stop – the pool! The two-story indoor pool makes you feel like you’re somewhere tropical. With cozy lounges all around, you could easily spend a few hours there. Also, don’t forget to check out the 8,000 sq.ft rooftop that offers stunning views of Toronto and hot tubs. Unfortunately, it was raining all weekend for us when we visited so the rooftop was a little difficult to visit.
After exploring the hotel we headed back to the room, changed into Lazypants, and got ready for the night. Anyone else immediately switch into comfy pants the moment they walked into the house? If you do, be sure to check out LazyPants new spring line! There are so many cute colours and comes in a slimming fit. I’ve been wearing mine non-stop since the trip. We each got to choose a pair of Lazypants from the Niki Orginal line. We all ended up choosing different colours, which ended looking so cute! Pretty sure we tried to discuss if we would get away with wearing them to dinner!
Getting ready didn’t take as long as I thought. Earlier in the week, I painted my nails with Joe Fresh’s Gel Polish in Key Lime Pie. Since gel polish lasts longer, I didn’t need any touch-ups. For only $5 a bottle of polish it provides such a nice gel-look without the use of a UV lamp. There is a total of 8 shades which include:
- Coral Reef
- Cotton Candy
- Key Lime Pie
- Raspberry Tart
- Red Delicious
- Café Latte
Joe Fresh Gel Look Nail Polish now available at Loblaws and Real Canadian Superstore locations and can last up to 14 days!
The first thing I do when getting ready is my hair! I used the göt2b Volumaniac Bodifying hairspray which kept my curls intact, even during all the rain. You use it like you would a normal hairspray or you can spray and use your hands to create more volume. Some of the other girls used the göt2b’s Volumaniac Bodifying Mousse. It’s infused with a polymer complex and flex agent technology to provide a natural high hold with elasticity. I’m excited to try it on the days I leave my naturally curly.
Since my look was more for daytime, I added a bit of extra makeup. Elizabeth Arden sent us an AMAZING package of beauty products to polish off our looks. We got to try:
- Statement Brow – Medium Brown 03
- Prevage City Smart with DNA Repair Complex + Anti-Pollution + Antioxidants Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50 Lotion 40ml
- Fourever Bronzing Powder – Medium 01
- SUPERSTART Skin Renewal Booster, 30ml
- Sheer Kiss Lip Oil – Rejuvenating Red 04
- Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer
- Beautiful Color Bold Kiss Liquid Lipstick – Luscious Raspberry
- Eight Hour® All-Over Miracle Oil 100ml
I opted for trying the Elizabeth Arden’s Sheer Kiss Lip Oil from the Tropical Escape Collection to get a bolder lip – plus the packaging of this product is SO cool! The Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer also helped to reduce any shine and smoothed out any uneven textures.
Here’s what the other ladies said about their products!

Even on a day, I go without makeup I’d STILL swipe this through my brows for a pretty and fuller look! The Prevage City Smart Sunscreen is another product that’s perfect to wear daily! It’s lightweight, isn’t greasy at all, and I know it’s protecting my skin every time I wear it!
Eleni: Fourever Bronzing Powder – Medium 01 is a lightweight bronzer that gives a natural looking glow with just the right amount of shimmer. The four-in-one compact includes the highlighter, blush, contour and bronze shades making it the perfect on the go beauty product.
Now that makeup was all covered, all was left was getting dressed. Guess was nice enough to provide all of us with a dress of our choice for the night. I had been on the hunt for a bright coloured dress so this orange number was a no-brainer. It’s also perfect for one of the weddings I have this year. We all know I love a good multi-functional piece of clothing.
After we were all ready we headed out for dinner. We dined at Citrus restaurant which is located in the lobby of the Grand Hotel – talk about convenience. I’m still dreaming about the amazing Tostadas!
