Top 3 Things to do in Hamilton This Summer
Bike the Red Hill Valley Trail
Just recently I discovered where the red bridge that goes over the QEW goes. I drive past this bridge every day and have always wondered where it went. If you park your car in the free lot that is near Barangas on the Beach (another must for the summer in Hamilton, Ontario) you can easily walk up to where the bridge is. Once you cross the bridge, the Red Hill Valley Trail starts. I knew of this trail but never knew how easy it was to access. It’s the perfect place to go for a walk or bike in the summer. Make sure to wear comfy shoes – like these Cougar loafers because it could take a while!
Relax on the Beach
Hamilton, Ontario may not have the prettiest beaches but they are fun! Along the Hamilton beach path, there are multiple spots that you can sit and relax. Some might have larger areas of sand but I personally like the smaller areas. Throughout the day you can take advantage of the free volleyball courts or sip on a beer from the shop close by. I can not think of the name but it’s before Barangas on the Beach if you’re walking towards Burlington from Hamilton. Tip: Head to this stop after your bike ride!
Visit Adventure Village
Looking for a little more action in Hamilton? Visit Adventure Village. Full of activities for the whole family this place can keep you busy for a few hours. I personally like the bumper cars but the mini-golf is definitely the main attraction. If you’re looking to kill a few hours, this is the place to go. Lastly, I mentioned it before but if you’re hungry after make sure to visit Barangas on the Beach for a meal with a view!
