Finding a spot where you can spend all day and night in a robe or PJ’s is heaven. This is exactly what it felt like last weekend when Dee, Sanda, Eleni, Zeba and myself headed to Ste. Anne’s Spa for a girls weekend away.
We were treated with the Ste. Anne’s Spa Cottage Experience which included a stay in a 4 bedroom cottage that is just down the road from the spa. Note: they offer a free shuttle to take you back and forth. If you’re interested in seeing more of what the cottage looked like check out my YouTube video at the bottom of this post.
We arrived at Ste. Anne’s to a very welcoming staff that took us to our cottage. After settling in for a little we took the free shuttle back to the Spa for Afternoon Tea. We each got to pick a flavour of tea that came with a wide variety of little snacks. If you’re like me and enjoy snacking on a bunch of things then this is perfect for you. I also have mentioned how AMAZING Ste. Anne’s Spa is about accommodating dietary restrictions. I’ve never been somewhere that was so understanding.
After our Afternoon Tea, we headed to the Spa area where we took full advantage of the Fieldstone Grotto. After 10-15 minutes relaxing there, I had my spa treatment so I headed inside to the lounge to wait. I opted for the Contouring Mud Stone Wrap which was one of the most relaxing things I’ve ever had. It started with a hot stone massage, followed up a mud scrub then wrapped up in warm linens. While you’re wrapped you receive a face, scalp and foot massage. I feel relaxed just thinking about it.
After all out treatments were done we headed back to the cottage to get ready for dinner. As we arrived our Chef was waiting. Yes, a private chef came to our cottage and cooked us dinner as we sat in our PJs and drank wine. This is such a unique experience that Ste. Anne’s Spa offers and is a must if you get the chance. When we were done eating, we spent some time chatting, playing games and relaxing in the private hot tub in the back of our cottage.
The next morning we woke up, got ready and headed back to the Spa for breakfast. They started by serving us each a morning detox drink which consisted of Apple, Honeydew and Cucumber. I also opted for the daily smoothie which was full of healthy greens, veg and fruit. Definitely, the perfect way to start your day. Don’t worry, I didn’t just have liquids I also got a scrambled egg creation that came with avocado, toast and lentils.
After breakfast, it was back to Fieldstone Grotto and lounging in the relaxation rooms and eucalyptus room. All around the spa, they offer their homemade granola, apples and lemon-cucumber water. They really thought about everything when building this spa to create the ultimate relaxation experience. If just sitting around isn’t your thing you can take advantage of their Wellness Classes which offers everything from yoga, meditation, farm tour and more!
Lastly, after a quick change, we headed back to the dining room for our last meal. I know I’ve mentioned it already but make sure to check out the video below because it will showcase the food way better than words. For lunch, I got the Cheese Fondu (HIGHLY recommend) and the veggie burger which is homemade. One thing we learned close to the end of our trip is that if you really enjoyed something specific be sure to let the staff know and they might bring you more!
