Fun Summer Accessories

The best part of summer is the fact you are able to spend a ton of time outside with friends and family and just relax. Adam and I took some time this year to really think about what we wanted to do with our backyard so we could create a space that would allow us to have everyone over.

This included not only the furniture but also decor pieces for serving food and for random plants that I like to think I can keep alive longer than a week. I ended up hunting online at places like Kijiji and Uncommon Goods for different things.

My first find was the herb planter that you see in the back of these photos. I found it on Kijiji and fell in love with the simple design. Now if I could only learn to achieve a green thumb, I could have actually used these herbs longer than a couple of weeks! I’ll blame the crazy heat we had this year, instead!

Second, is this amazing cheese platter. If you know me, you know that I LOVE cheese so when I spotted this cheese board online with the engraved & symbol on it, I knew that it needed to be in my kitchen. The cheese board came from an online website called uncommongoods, which pretty much sells what the name says…UnCommon Goods because seriously, where else would you have found this cheese board?
