Girls Nights are the perfect nights to let loose with your best friends, have some cocktails and gossip about just about anything, including the annoying things your boyfriend or husband does!
This past week, myself, Dee from Liner Glitter Gloss and Sandra from Mom’s Makeup Stash headed to e11elven to try out some of their new dishes and to meet some new girlfriends from Fajo Magazine.
Now, what’s the first thing you do once you have all your girlfriends at the table? You order drinks. The drink selection at e11even was amazing, not only because of the wide variety of options, but also because you browse the menu on a personal iPad that is brought to your table. I thought that was such a unique element.
I started off by ordering a berry cocktail named The Berry Caprioska that had fresh berries all muddled at the bottom – pretty much the perfect summer drink. However, my favourite drink of the night has to go to the Porky’s Smash. I won’t lie, I ordered it because the name was funny – but it was so delicious with the combo of lemon and mint.
After a lot of chatting, even more instagramming and taking photos of all our drinks, we were onto appetizers. Since we were all sharing, we ended up with a few different plates, which included the Tuna Tartare, Crab Cake and Honey Peanut Shrimp. These were all HUGE hits at the table, but the winner I would say was the Tuna Tartare with its avocado base.
On to the mains, and there were a lot of them. Steak Frites with a side of Truffled Mac N’ Cheese, Altantic Salon with Red Quinoa Salad, Knife & Fork Baby Back Ribs, The Maple Burger and more! Let’s just say we did not leave hungry. Everyone’s plate looked to die for, from the presentation of the food to the actual taste.
Last but not least, what I’m sure you have ALL been waiting for: the Dessert. And, let me tell you, this did not disappoint. Take a look at the picture below and you will see what I am talking about. There was Sticky Toffee Pudding, Warmed Nut Brownie, Sorbet with Fresh Berries and Chocolate Peacan Pie. Seriously, could you ask for anything more? Caramel sauce you say? Well, there was that too; we drizzled it over the desserts. I think our before and after photos prove how much we liked it.
Thanks to everyone at e11even in Toronto for having us! We had a blast and can’t wait to come back.
