Niagara-on-the-Lake is one of the most gorgeous places you can visit over the summer. With wineries, shops, spas, tours, you will never have a dull moment. Below is a full weekend guide that will help you see the most of Niagara-on-the-Lake. This guide contains everything from a winery tour, chocolate tour, shopping and even a ghost tour!
Day One (Saturday)
During the Day
- Visit as many wineries as you can on Niagara-on-the-Lake over the summer. You can always find great deals on one of the many deal websites, or pick up one of the Niagara Discovery Passes that allow you to visit 8 different wineries. The great thing about the discovery pass is that it’s only $40 and with each winery, you get a food tasting as well. It’s definitely worth the money. The discovery passes run for 2 weekends in the month of June. Check out their website for further details.
Saturday at Night
- Love a little ghost story? Then, check out the Niagara-on-the-Lake haunted ghost tours. Apparently, over 80% of businesses have reported seeing a ghost in their area including the violent ghost of the Angel Inn, the headless solider, the house that makes cameras go wonky, town secrets, séances, legends and more
- Check into a bed and breakfast located on Niagara-on-the-lake or if you feel like splurging, try out the amazing White Oaks Resort & Spa. It’s located right across the street from the new Niagara outlets and offers relaxing spa adventures.
Day Two (Sunday)
- Visit the newly opened Niagara-on-the-Lake outlets. With over 100+ different retailers and with more opening, you are bound to find something. Just some of the stores they have include Mountain Warehouse, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Coach, J. Crew Factory, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and much more.
- Start heading home but be sure to check out some of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chocolate FX factory, which is open 7 days a week on your way out of town.
