Hair extensions can be A LOT of fun to wear, but the main question is How to Wear Hair Extensions ..? They can be tricky to wear but once you start wearing them you will become addicted, but you will also get super fast at putting them in. I have tried different form of hair extensions included keratin glue ones but still find that clip in’s are the way to go as they have less of a chance of ruining your hair and you have the option to take them in and out.
I recently got the chance to try out these hair extensions from Irresistible Me.com. They offer a WIDE range of different hair extensions, including different colours, lengths and weights. They have a super handy video that can help you pick out your perfect shade, which can be found here. I found picking the weight can be the most tricky and suggest the finer your hair is, the lighter in weight you should go.
Lastly, in regards to colour I know this is the trickiest and scariest part when picking out hair extensions even if there is a video to help you out. I ended up ordering a set that was much too light for hair as I had recently decided to dye my hair darker for the fall and so I didn’t have to keep adding bleach to my hair (it was getting damaged). So, in case you are wondering if you can dye these hair extensions, Yes you can! I just used a boxed dye from the drug store and it turned out perfect! All I did was place them on an old towel on my bathroom floor and applied the dye to the hair, let it set for the directed amount of time and then washed them out in the bathtub. Easy Peasy. Take a look below at the before and after.
However, if you’re not up for dying your hair extensions, Irresistible Me does offer free exchanges as long as you have only opened the tester part of the hair/box.

How to Wear Hair Extensions
- Clip your hair up leaving a small section at the bottom
- Tease the hair. This allows the clips to stick onto the hair better.
- Place a larger clip (3-4) clips on the teased hair.
- Unclip a small section of hair and tease it again.
- Place another clip, but this time a smaller one.
- Repeat this process until you are satisfied.
Tip #1: Leave the smaller clips (1-2 clips) for the side parts of your head.
Tips #2: Take your extensions to your hairdresser as they can help trim them to create a more natural look. This is also a good idea if you’re using the extensions for more volume purposes than length.
