My Girl Squad

Some of you might know that I attended University in Australia on the Gold Coast campus in Surfers Paradise. While it was the adventure of a lifetime living there and meeting all types of new people, I always missed my two best friends (my squad) from home. Before leaving, the three of us would get together almost every weekend to hang out. We either went to the bar or a local restraint for some nachos and drinks.

About half way through my stay in Australia (I was there a 1.5 years in total) my two friends planned a trip to visit me! With flights being so expensive, I couldn’t believe that they were planning on coming across the world just to see me. That’s true friendship.

I will always remember this trip, not only because they flew to Australia just to see me but also because we made lasting memories during the trip that we still laugh about today! We hit up all the major tourist spots- Whale watching, local animal sanctuaries and, of course, the local bars in Surfer’s Paradise.

Some of the best nights out are with my girls, dancing together and drinking some ‘tracksuits’. Tracksuits are perfect for pumping you up for a long night, as the cocktail is a combination of energy drink and Raspberry Sour Puss. Yum!

Although we are all doing different things with our lives and live in different cities we always manage to find time to see each other whenever we can. I strongly believe that’s when you know you have true friends – even though you are all busy with your own thing when you finally come back together it’s like no time has ever passed!
