What you need:
- Shoes
- Glitter
- Painters Tape
- Glitter Glue
Steps:
- Apply a piece of painters tape to mark a line where you want the glitter. You can also apply some tape around the edge of your shoes to prevent glitter from going on that.
- I mixed blue and black glitter together, so I put them together in a small bowl. If you are only using one colour you can probably skip this step.
- Using a brush or sponge, apply the glitter glue to the desired area.
- Over newspaper or a piece of paper, pump the glitter over the glue.
- Shake off the excess and pour the glitter back into the bottle/bowl.
- Repeat if some areas were missed and follow the same steps with the other shoe.
- For added protection, you can spray a clear spray paint over the glitter to help hold it.
You’ve definitely inspired me to try this out. I get a lot of wear and tear on the front of my flats and this would be a fun way to spruce them up.. and I love anything involving glitter 😉
You are so creative! I love this idea and it would be fun to do with my grandkids!
thanks!
Thats cute !!! I just love how something simple can make the difference.
