Joe Fresh is always one of my favourite shows every season because it is affordable is reflects my personal style perfectly. This years Fall, Winter collection included the signature orange of Joe Fresh in multiple pieces such as the first jacket shown above. Graphic sweaters and printed pieces were also showcased and you can definitely expect to see these trends in the upcoming seasons.
Another favourite of the week is Melissa Nepton, a Montreal-based designer who specializes in modern, ready-to-wear couture that targets the urban career woman. I fell in love with her designs last season with the cute skirts and patterned tops. This season, I loved how she continued her signature look with the skirts and added more style into them with unique patterns and textures. Her collection, is something I would wear daily.
Pink Tartan, is probably one of the most talked about shows during Fashion Week and being married to Joe Miran (designer of Joe Fresh) Kimberley Newport-Mimran and her husband are an unstoppable fashion duo team. Pink Tartan’s Fall, Winter collection was filled with warm and cozy sweaters, including the one shown on the end showcasing reindeers. I can guarantee that this sweater will be an instant hit this Winter/Holiday season. Also shown, were oversized jackets and fur clutches.
My last but definitely not least favourite show of the week was Stephan Caras who designs with formidable fashion houses such as Guy Laroche and Hermés. Caras’ status as a top tier designer has recently earned him a spot in CEO World Magazine and Runway Magazine’s “List of World’s Top 20 Fashion Designers,” as well as the “Top 25 Most Beloved and Inspiring Fashion Designers of the World”. I look forward to his show EVERY year as it is filled with the most gorgeous dresses you could imagine. This year was no different, with low neck lines and cut outs and dresses that would make any woman feel instantly beautiful. I was happy this year Stephan added some colour in this collection with the beautiful coral.
