Pairing Black Knee Highs and Pumps

Pairing Black Knee Highs and Pumps

It’s FREEZING here in Canada, and these pictures might not show it but the very next day my backyard was covered in snow. I’ve talked before about wearing knee-high socks with boots and skirts in the Winter as they extend the time you can wear them. My favourite way to style them is to pair the skirt and knee-high socks with a cozy and sized sweater. This way it balances out the outfit as you are keeping your top half fully …

NYE Option One

NYE Option One

New Years Eve is right around the corner and I have been trying to figure out what to wear. I have it down to two different outfits the one below and one that I will be posting tomorrow. This first one is a simple black dress that is floor length on the one side and a mini skirt on the other. The back has a small keyhole slit for added detail. I wore it plain in the first picture and then added a&…

Faux Layering

Faux Layering

I found this shirt while shopping on Black Friday at LOFT and what may look like two shirts is actually only one! The shirt gives that layering look but not all the bulkiness that can sometimes come from wearing two different shirts. The shirt also comes in a light pink but personally liked the darker colour for the Winter and the little feather details on the blouse.

I’ve Got My Red Pants On…

I’ve Got My Red Pants On…

Red pants are definitely not going anywhere this Fall as they are a perfect statement piece. I like to pair them with a classic boot and neutral colour jacket such as the one here. I picked this one up at Venus (see exact link at the bottom of this post) last season but they are still offering the jacket on their site. I originally  thought that the faux leather on the jacket was a black but it’s actually a deep brown which …

Vests for Fall

Vests for Fall

This Fall a great way to stay warm and not have to wear a damn jacket every day is whipping out those vests that are probably in the back of your closet. I remember wearing these back in high school all the time and haven’t really worn one again until last Fall when I spotted this Beaver Canoe Vest at my local Target. It was so cozy and with the faux fur along the hood, how could I pass it up? I …

Wearing Tutus Even When You’re Older

Wearing Tutus Even When You’re Older

I won this fabulous dress from my blogger friend Summer x Skin back in the summer and I dream everyday of places where I can wear a tutu. The dress has gems all over the top and a lace up back which makes it a bit to fancy for day-to-day wear but I found putting a black sweater over top really helped. If anyone is having a fancy party, invite me so I can wear a tutu lol, it’s not only for …

Polka Dots on Dots (9-5 Outfit Idea)

Polka Dots on Dots (9-5 Outfit Idea)

Blazer: Target | Shirt: Old Pants: LOFT | Shoes: Steve Madden | Bracelet: Joe Fresh Working in an office 9-5, can be a bit exhausting and then trying to pick out outfits at like 6:30 or 7am is even more tiring. I found the best way to avoid just pulling on the same old sweater every day for work is to plan out 5 outfits for the week, you can do this by placing them on a hanger over the back of your closet…

Simple Black & White Stripes

Simple Black & White Stripes

Shirt: Express | Jeans: William Rast | Bag: Steve Madden | Wedges: The Hudson’s Bay Company I found this shirt a couple days before Christmas while shopping at Express. I fell in love with the mix of plain black and a quilted white fabric and the small leather trim around the collar. It was such a fun combo, I had to pick the shirt up plus it helped that the shirt was on sale and then had another 40% off that price. I…
