Tips for Taking Blog Photos
- Use a DSLR Camera – I know some phones have amazing camera nowadays but I still think using a DSLR can help you give clearer photos. Also, don’t think you have to invest a lot of money into a camera. Check online for 2nd cameras or ask to borrow a friends. It’s also all about the lens. A 50mm lens is highly recommended.
- Shade – I remember when I started taking photos I thought that it was so much better to take them in the sun. I slowly realized that taking photos in the shade is way better. You don’t get any random sun streaks on you and you won’t be squinting
- Location – Find a cool location such as a park that offers a variety of backgrounds. This will help you to take multiple outfit photos at one time. If you’re a fashion blogger I can guarantee that you’ve changed in your car more times than you can count.
- Bring a Friend – Who says that you need a professional photographer? Yes, they are nice but how about using a friend? A lot of my photos are taken by other bloggers. We get together on an afternoon and take turns taking each other photos. This also gives us a change to catch up and hang out.
