joeSCRUB :: Smooth Skin from a Coffee Scrub

Beauty & Makeup Mondays

If you’re unfamiliar with the new hype in the beauty world you probably read the title of this post and went ‘huh..?’. So let me explain. joeSCRUB is an Canadian (hell yeah!) made product that uses 100% natural products that have many skin health benefits such as the following:

  • Reducing appearance of cellulite
  • Curtailing premature skin aging
  • Treating acne
  • Alleviating psoriasis & eczema
  • Fading scars & discoloured skin
  • Exfoliating dead skin
  • Improving skin hydration
  • Protecting against free radicals

I had never tried a coffee scrub before but have heard about them but other bloggers and friends so I was dying to try one and see what all the hype was about. I was kinda of surprised when I first opened the package of joeSCRUB and basically just saw what looked like grounded up coffee beans. Not sure what I was expecting…maybe more like a paste or cream type mixture? So basically to use joeSCRUB the key is to wet your skin before hand and to cover your full face and body use about two-three small handfuls and apply it in a circular motion. Leave joeSCRUB on for 5-10 minutes and rinse off. A tip I learned after my first try is wet and apply joeSCRUB while standing in the shower or tub as it can get all over the place and same with rinsing, hop back in the shower-it will save you a lot of clean up.

joeSCRUB-review

The first time I use joeSCRUB I applied it to my face only and only used a little bit as you should always test out a smaller amount (usually one a smaller area) before going to extreme with any product. It was easy to apply and my face felt so smooth after I rinsed it off and I also saw a reduce in redness around my problem areas which is my nose. However, while applying I did notice my skin a little more red than normal, which I think is just from the colour of the product itself and from rubbing it onto my face but as mentioned once removed my skin felt amazing and was less red. I’m going to definitely be using joeSCRUB throughout the whole winter to keep my skin smooth and problem free.

joeSCRUB is available for $16 a bag at www.joeSCRUB.com, which is a great deal as the bag should last you a good while.
