The other week, I headed into Toronto for the #AlmayPicnic event for a bunch of us bloggers. This event was held a little bit different compared to others that I go to, but I liked it that way. This time we were given everything we needed to make ourselves look flawless from Almay – and may I add, the products were packaged in the most adorable lunch bags that you ever did see! We were first told to use the Makeup Remover Towelettes and Oil-Free Makeup Remover Pads to remove all makeup from our faces. This was a little scary but you gotta do what you gotta do. Next the wonderful Jacquie Hutchinson took us on a step-by-step guide on how to put together a flawless look with all our new Almay products.
After removing our already existing make-up we placed a dab of the Smart Shade CC Luminous Primer on the back of our hands and starting spreading the primer over our face and neck, followed by the Smart Shade Skintone Matching Makeup / Smart Shade Anti-Aging Skintone Matching Makeup. A quick note: When applying the primer or smart shade use your fingers tips rather than a brush or beauty blender as the heat from your hands will help you to achieve a smoother look. These were my all time favourite products of the night and I have been using them every day since.
Next, was time for the eye shadow. The Intense i-Color Smoky Shadow Kit comes in various colours that will suit your eye colour and the handy guide on the back of the package will assist you in applying the correct colour in the correct spot. Next apply a thin layer of the Intense i-Color Liquid Liner along your lash line and under your eye. For best results, use the side of the liner brush for the lash line and the tip of the brush when applying it under your eye.
The last few steps were the easiest. Polish off the look with the Intense i-Color Volumizing Mascara, Smart Shade Powder Blush Bronzer in Sunkissed and the Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm. It’s a super easy look, that I promise you will be impressed by.
