DIY :: Blue Glitter Tip Flats

blue-glitter-flats-final

What you need:

  • Shoes
  • Glitter
  • Painters Tape
  • Glitter Glue

Steps:

  1. Apply a piece of painters tape to mark a line where you want the glitter. You can also apply some tape around the edge of your shoes to prevent glitter from going on that.
  2. I mixed blue and black glitter together, so  I put them together in a small bowl. If you are only using one colour you can probably skip this step.
  3. Using a brush or sponge, apply the glitter glue to the desired area.
  4. Over newspaper or a piece of paper, pump the glitter over the glue.
  5. Shake off the excess and pour the glitter back into the bottle/bowl.
  6. Repeat if some areas were missed and follow the same steps with the other shoe.
  7. For added protection, you can spray a clear spray paint over the glitter to help hold it.

You’ve definitely inspired me to try this out. I get a lot of wear and tear on the front of my flats and this would be a fun way to spruce them up.. and I love anything involving glitter 😉
