NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal

New to NeoStrata are the 5% Glycolic Acid Encapsulated Smoothing Lotion and Smoothing Cream and the 10% Glycolic Acid Encapsulated. The difference between the 5% and the 10% Glycolic Acid is that the 5% is meant for people with sensitive skin and has a gentle release and the Glycolic acid is delivered with efficacy but with no irritation or stinging. The 10% has a greater percentage of  Glycolic Acid, which is the highest concentration allowed for sale at retail.neostrata-glycolic-renewal-review-swatches

Second question you might be asking is what is the difference between the Smoothing Cream and the Smoothing Lotion? The Smoothing Cream is for those with normal to dry skin and Smoothing Lotion is for combination to oily skin.

Using Glycolic Acid will help:

  • Soften fine line
  • Reduce appearance of wrinkles
  • Increase smoothness of skin texture
  • Even out skin tone
  • Minimize pore sizes
  • Increase skin moisture

The addition of  Glycolic Acid  to the products will speed up the skins own natural shedding process, removes excess dead surface cells allowing for healthier ones to emerge. and will help promote collagen synthesis which increases skin thickness, reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Stats from studies done by NeoStrata:

  • 86% of women agree their skin is more luminous and radiant
  • 66% of women agree their pores are less visible, less dilated
  • Up to 72% reduction of wrinkles
  • Up to 60% reduction of total length of wrinkles
  • Up to 68% reduction of total area of wrinkles

Take a look at NeoStrata’s Glycolic Acid products here.

I have been using the Smoothing Lotion for a few days now as I have combination skin and I like the texture but I do find you need a bit more of the lotion/cream to cover your face compared to other products. I have also not noticed any stinging or irritation.

The Lotion and Cream retail for $39 each for a 50mL container.
